Frequently Asked Questions

Depends on the session. Mini sessions run 20 minutes — block off a little extra for parking and getting settled. Full sessions run 60 minutes. If we wrap early, you still walk away with everything we discussed.
-
As soon as you know you want it. Weekends, golden hour windows, and seasonal mini sessions fill up fast. A deposit holds your spot — the earlier you lock it in, the more options you have on date and location.
-
Mini sessions come with 10 edited, full-resolution photos. Full sessions come with 30. Those are guaranteed minimums.
If you want more from the gallery, additional photos are $15 each — or $100 for everything. The full gallery option is usually the better deal if you're on the fence about more than a handful.

No — and that's intentional. The edited photo is the finished product, the same way a chef doesn't hand you the raw ingredients after cooking your meal. What you receive has been through the full editing process: color grading, light adjustments, and retouching. That's what's worth delivering.

Based in San Diego. Most sessions happen throughout San Diego County — but I'll go wherever the shoot calls for. Travel costs are covered by you and confirmed before we book. Home or studio sessions are an option too; studio sessions may carry an additional fee.

Wear what actually feels like you — not what you think looks good in photos. The session is about capturing who you are, and that starts with what you have on.
A few things that make a real difference:
Avoid solid black, pure white, and neon on their own. They can wash you out or cast color onto your skin. That said, black is fine — half my wardrobe is black — just add a layer or accent piece to break it up.
Skip busy patterns and fine lines. You're the subject, not your shirt. Anything too distracting pulls focus from your face.
For family sessions: coordinate, don't match. Pick two or three main colors and one accent (grey, ivory, and navy with a soft yellow accent, for example) and stay within those. Identical outfits flatten the photo — a little variation gives it depth.
Lay everything out on the bed before your session so you can see how the outfits work together. Send me a photo if you want a second opinion.
When in doubt, go neutral. Brown, grey, ivory, navy, beige, olive — timeless and they work with everything.

Tell me before we start. That's all you need to do.
Light does more heavy lifting than most people realize — and I pre-scout every location specifically to find the light that works. During the session, I give direction based on what I see through the lens, not generic poses. And I'll show you the frame on the back of the camera in real time so you can see what I'm seeing.
Most people who come in hating something about how they look leave with a photo of it they don't mind — or actually love. That's not a coincidence. It's light, angle, and a little direction.

If the weather turns, a pandemic hits, or anything else outside your control gets in the way — we'll reschedule first. If rescheduling doesn't work, you get a full refund, no questions asked.
Cancellations on your end don't qualify for a refund.

Life happens — reach out as soon as you know and we'll find a new date that works. Preferably a week out, but at minimum 24 hours before your session.
-
The day after your session, you'll get a teaser — one edited photo so you're not waiting in the dark.
Within 2 weeks, your full gallery lands in your inbox. It's password-protected and private — browse through, pick your favorites, and download. Prints are available directly through the gallery if you want them on your wall.

Hit the contact button, send me a message with the type of session you're after, and we'll nail down the date and location. A deposit locks in your spot.
